Welcome to New Beginnings Christian Academy Website

What Makes Us Different from Other Private Schools?

1. Christian Environment for grades K-12.
2. Smaller teacher to student ratios (no more than 15 students to 1 teacher).
3. We have been accredited since 1996.
4. All of our teachers are certified by FCPS – they love our students  – and they love teaching here.
5. We believe that while  ALL students can learn – some learn differently.
6. We accept most major scholarship programs.
7. We use SMART boards and tables in every classroom and have a laptop
ratio of approximately one laptop for every two students.
8. We give diagnostic testing to make sure every new student is getting the
help where he or she needs it.
9. We are located on a beautiful 7 acre property in an area with very little traffic; yet, we are less than a minute away from I-10 and I-295 (directly
across the street from the Flea Market along I-10 at Lane Avenue.)

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Changes to School Schedules

Because Florida Department of Education has had to make some difficult decisions to protect our students, staff, and their families, we are adjusting our schedule to comply with the Department’s guidelines.

First, we have moved Spring Break from the week of  April 6th – 10th (Easter week) to March 17th to 20th.  We will only have Good Friday (April 10th) off.

Furthermore, we will begin distance learning as of Tuesday, March 24th. Assignments will be emailed to two addresses – a designated parent’s email address and the email address of the student.

(If your student doesn’t presently have an email account, please set one up on one of the free email servers – gmail, yahoo, I-cloud, etc.)

Someone from the school office will be calling you Thursday or Friday, March 19th and 20th, to record email addresses for student and parent as well as cell phone numbers for students and parents. Please make this happen for each student, PLEASE!

Each day, your student will be emailed assignments from the same curriculum he or she has been using throughout the school year in each subject. Students will be expected to complete each day’s assignments and email them back to the teacher before midnight that day.

Depending on the subject, students will be able to put answers on the same sheet and email it back to the teacher. Instructions will be provided on how to complete the assignment. Teachers will be available to answer questions daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In some classes, video chats will be available to questions unanswerable by phone. Please know that we will work with you to understand how to complete the work, but parents and students MUST KNOW that the assignments have to be completed!

Some subjects will demand that a parent come by the school office to pick up books or other material that is impossible to email. Parents will have to sign the books out with an understanding that the books are to be returned in the same condition they left the school property.

We know that this is a big shift for you as parents and students. It is also a big shift for us in administration. We will work together. We can do this! Call or email when you don’t understand something.
We will try to answer your questions. More details will come as needed. Hopefully, we won’t have to do this very long, but I am confident that God will be our strength and our confidence.
