New Beginnings Christian Academy formally Family Christian Academy is an accredited member of the Florida Council of Private Schools since 1996. FCPS is an association of educators and schools designed to help schools establish third-party witness to the credibility of their performance. On-site visits and evaluations are conducted to determine membership. FCPS is listed by the Florida Department of Education as an agency known to be accrediting private schools in Florida. Go to · Florida Council of Private Schools to view their website. NBCA accepts enrollment applications for students first grade and up for the 2012-2013 school year. We gladly welcome students and families of any race, color, national or ethnic origin. We accept Florida state McKay scholarships as well as the Step up for Students Florida tax credit scholarship. While we do not require students to take or pass the FCAT at New Beginnings, we do participate in the Stanford 10 standardized test as a means of measuring each student's current academic ability. While this test does not directly impact a student's promotion, we do use the Stanford 10 as a tool to help us determine year-to-year progress in key academic areas and identify areas where possible changes may enhance the educational experience. Our first day of school for the 2012-2013 school year will be August the 20th. You can call our Main Office anytime between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, to schedule an interview. Summer Hours 2012 are Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. |
