The Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville and the Hope Haven Children's Clinic and Family Center presents the 2009 DSAJ Calendar, "My Favorite Thing." This year's calendar, an anual fund-raiser to help continue the Hope Haven's work with Down Syndrome students, features NBCA's very own Ciara Mathis. The calendar cost is $15 each and you can pick up order forms from the school office (or download them here!) anytime this holiday season |

October 27th through the 31st is Red Ribbon Week here at New Beginnings. One week out of each year we join with other schools and community organizations in promoting greater awareness among our youth and their families as to the many dangers of substance abuse. This year our focus at New Beginnings is on recognizing the way that media portrays substance abuse and other dangerous activities and how we are impacted by these presentations. The First Quarter ends on Wednesday, October 22nd. Report Cards for Q1 will go home the following week and should be signed and returned by Friday, November 7th. Students who have not returned signed report cards by that date will not be permitted to return on the following Monday, so please be sure to get them signed and returned as soon as possible! |

The NBCA fall Flag Football season begins on Thursday, October 23rd with the Home Opener versus Jacksonville Christian Academy. The current schedule is available online and will be updated with scores following each game. |
